在澳洲申请175，仍算是offshore申请？
我07年底在布里斯班申请175，直到现在没有动静。因为我457工作签证7月底到期，现在雇主可能不会跟我再续合约。我去移民局问我工作签证过期后，是不是可用bridging visa在澳洲继续居住，但被告知我申请的175是Offshore申请，就算我是在澳洲申请的，也不会给我bridging visa。这个‘offshore’和‘onshore’真的让人有点迷惑，从字面看，这两个词不就是申请的地点不同么？我觉得应把‘Onshore’改成‘two year study graduates skill migration’，这样才清楚。:S:mt[ ` eZrI)TS另外还有个现象，值得大家注意。我们移民申请一开始递交申请就被charge了2000多澳元，但移民局要过好几个月才开始审理。07年大约10万技术移民（包括onshore and offshore），如果平均审理时间是9个月，这些申请费可以为移民局赚取至少1千万澳元的利息收入（如果年利息是7%的话）。也就是说移民局在提供审理服务之前，就享受了我们申请费的巨额利息。大家看是不是这样，也许我们可以做些什么。 can someone apply 175 under visa 457????2d3b }1g%R m"r P
I thought 175 must be apply offshore??? I am curious to know about this as well....looking forward to have some experts to explain the above question....52.gif When I called immigration about the issue of applying 175 onshore, I was told that it was possible to apply 175 in Australia but still regarded as an offshore application, this is because the DIAC wants to allow some flexibiity for applicants to lodge their applications in terms of locations. So....you are holding temporary work visa 457 sponsored by a Australia employer and work in australia now......52.gif and applying visa 175 at the same time....is there any advantage to apply under such circumstances???? 52.gif 52.gif Working in Australia for one year or above can give you some extra point (10 points if I remember right) when you apply 175. This is the only but very important advantage I see, of course the working experience in Australia must be relevant to the skilled occuptation you nominated. all 457 holders are only eligible to apply 175 if not spnsored by employer. all will be considered as offshore whether they r in australia or not. anyway, as long as they meet the criteria, they can get PR.
